Casco Township

Formed in 1849, Casco has a population of over 4,500. Originally a predominantly German community, there are three Lutheran churches in the township. School Districts in Casco Township are divided between East China School District and Richmond School District.

Officials: Supervisor Karen Holk, Clerk Arlene Schweiger, Treasurer Colleen Stover and trustees Joseph Stevens and Daniel Goulston.

Township Hall: 4512 Meldrum Road. Open 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, Closed on Fridays, 727-7524.

Shopping: Being so close to the city of Richmond, most people do their shopping there.
